Enjoying music through hard work, study, and practice

This group, known as PitaJazz, was formed in August 2016 after a job opportunity arose. Since then, the three members, who are also friends, have been dedicated to the study and practice of different styles of Jazz.

The group consists of Raul Herrera, a drummer and percussionist from Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico; Hugo Navarro, a maestro in charge of bass and double bass from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico; and Juan Carlos Madariaga, a pianist from Mexico City. Raul and Hugo previously participated in a record production that won the “El último Chilambalan” award in 2008.

The trio’s philosophy revolves around enjoying music through hard work, study, and practice.
