Jimena Bautista

From the moment she could speak, Jimena Bautista was already singing. Raised between Mexico City and Cancún, she grew up surrounded by music — inspired by Michael Jackson, shaped by jazz legends, and guided by the artistic legacy of her father from the band Mister Loco.

Her breakthrough came in 2003, when a chance encounter with George Duke at the Riviera Maya Jazz Festival led to an unexpected invitation to perform with him live. That moment launched an international journey that has taken her across the Caribbean, Canada, and Mexico, blending jazz, blues, and Mexican roots into her own distinctive sound.

Beyond the stage, Jimena lends her voice to social causes through the United Nations’ Say NO – Unite to End Violence Against Women campaign, advocating for a safer future for women in Latin America.

Today, with her album My Swing Moods and new creative projects on the horizon, Jimena continues to expand her artistic reach — crafting music filled with emotion, purpose, and a style uniquely her own.
