Howard Allen Clifton
Saxophonist musician, he was born in Santa Cecilia in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He currently lives in Los Cabos. In 1989 he won 1st place together with the singer / songwriter Norma Sánchez in 3 contests: 1) Contest for ‘Best Original Song’ by La Yamaha -Toluca 1989, he won his song “La Negra Cuaquenda – Salsa de Los Portales” 2) Contest of ‘Best Original Bolero’ of the State of Guanajuato In 1994, he wins his bolero / danzón “La Huella” and 3) Contest of ‘Best Arrangement of a Bolero’ of the State of Guanajuato – he wins his arrangement of “Tu Mi Delirio” by Cesar Portillo de la Luz.
He has performed in different music festivals and with different groups in the Mexican Republic such as: Afro-Caribbean Festival Edition in Veracruz with the group “RIDDIM FORZ” 1st Edition International Cabo Jazz Festival in Cabo San Lucas with Greg Karukas Recognized Artist of Smooth Jazz , 3rd Edition Liga MAC Jazz Fest in San José del Cabo with Barbara Morrison (renowned jazz / blues artist and singer), San José Jazz Weekend, among others.
